IN OURÂ COMMUNITY
Elworthy believes in supporting our local community and giving back.
NES ROMANIUK MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT
Established in 2007 in honour of our late owner, we award a bursary, with matching funds from BCIT, to an electrical apprenticeship student in financial need.
BC CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
Elworthy Electrical and members of our staff regularly donate to the BC Children's Hospital Foundation in order to help BC's sick kids.
THE ELECTRICAL HERITAGE SOCIETY OF BC
The Electrical Heritage Society of British Columbia (EHSBC) was founded by Nes Romaniuk and Peter Bemister in 1990 and is continued by his two sons, Robert and David, as well as other employees at Elworthy. It's purpose is to promote knowledge, educate, preserve, and keep the history of the electrical industry in British Columbia alive.
CHILLIWACK GENERAL HOSPITAL
Elworthy Electrical joined with Local Unions, the Boilermakers Contractors Association of BC, and several other contractors who were working together on the Chilliwack Molson Coors Brewery. The group delivered a $30,300 donation to the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation in support of the pediatric observation unit at Chilliwack General Hospital.
LIGHTS OF HOPE FOUNDATION - ST. PAUL'S HOSPITAL
Over the years, Elworthy has donated time and money to the foundation, working alongside our brother and sister union members from the IBEW Local 213 Electrical Union. Some of the work performed for the Lights of Hope at St. Paul's included lights and wiring for the display, and an electrical control panel.
In addition, we regularly contribute to a selection of businesses and associations in the local community.
