OUR FAMILY
At Elworthy, we feel that our employees are our most important asset. We think of ourselves as a family, and host a variety of social events where we can all have the chance to get together in a more informal setting. A number of our staff have been with the company since they started their apprenticeship and have since gone on to mentor and train new apprentices. Our events and social outings are regularly attended by former/retired employees as well.
GOLF TOURNAMENTS
Elworthy hosts an annual summer golf tournament which is regularly attended by employees and their families, friends, and business partners.
FISHING TRIPS
Elworthy staff get the chance to relax and unwind for by going on company fishing and camping trips to various loactions around BC.
SPORTING EVENTS
As loyal Canucks season ticket holders and supporters, we go to hockey games whenever possible. Some of our team even made the trip down to Las Vegas to watch the Vancouver Canucks Vs. Vegas Golden Knights in their inaugural season in the NHL. Elworthy are also enthusiastic Whitecaps supporters and season ticket holders.
CHRISTMAS PARTIES
The annual Christmas Party is a big event for Elworthy. A company event involves renting a venue, dinner, speeches, prizes, a chance for everyone to catch up in a social setting, and lots of fun. As a responsible employer, taxi/car service vouchers or hotel rooms are provided for employees if needed.
HYACK FESTIVAL CHRISTMAS PARADE
Hyack Festival - Parade of Lights. Over the years, Elworthy's staff have donated time, money, and supplies by providing general electrical work, participating in the parade, assisting in new float wiring, converting floats to a greener battery power instead of running on a gas generator, and electrical wiring for media outlets' coverage of the parade.
