At Elworthy, we know that our people are our most valuable asset. We promote a strong safety culture and are dedicated to ensuring that our employees are provided with a safe, healthy, and enjoyable work environment.
Safety is our first priority, and this philosophy is firmly embedded within each level of our organization. We recognize that a safe workplace can only be attained with the total co-operation of all employees at every level of the organisation.
We realize that each jobsite is unique, and special attention to potential risks and safety hazards is required at all times. Using proper procedures, training, and instruction, our employees are able to sucessfully manage all risks they encounter.
PROVIDING A SAFE AND DISCRIMINATION-FREE WORKPLACE
The Builders Code sets a standard code of conduct for workers on construction sites in BC. It defines an Acceptable Worksite as the starting point for reducing risk and ensuring a safe and productive environment for all workers. The Builders Code helps construction employers communicate a clear, consistent behavior expectation to improve the safety, productivity and retention of skilled tradespeople, and reduce project risk.

SAFETY TRAINING
Elworthy is dedicated to reaching an accident-free workplace. We continually update our safety program to ensure compliance with new Canadian Electrical Code and BC safety regulations. We conduct regular safety education, training, and renewal programs for all our employees.
Elworthy ensures that everyone has the training required to perform tasks in the safest possible manner. This Includes: First Aid Level 1 and Level 2, Boom Lift and Scissor Lift Operation, Confined Space, Arc Flash, WHMIS, Lock Out/Tag Out, Energized Work, and others applicable to a specific job.
Our employees are also provided with opportunities to maintain their standings if they have other workplace specific accreditations.
